BOUNCE-BLACK
Bounce-Black is Los Angeles Volleyball Clubs u12 competition team. Bounce-Black gives young players the chance to learn the game the right way and get use to USA Volleyball competition early. We have seen an incredibly fast growth rate from players who get involved at the Bounce level. The friendships and lessons of team-work, goal setting and resilience make for an incredibly fun introduction to the sport.
Coach Lisa Hom
Bounce-Black is coached head coached by Coach Lisa Hom. Lisa was a two sport athlete in high school, competing on the volleyball and track at Cerritos High. During Lisa’s senior season, she helped lead her team to a league championship, appearance in the CIF SS Finals and State Quarterfinals. She went on to play collegiately as a DS/Libero for Whittier College, where she earned her Bachelors of Arts in Biology
Prior to LAVBC Coach Hom has coached for Plus Volleyball Academy, Club Green, Network VBC and at Northern Indiana Volleyball Association.
In addition to coaching club, Lisa coached the Freshman team at John Adams High School (JAHS) during the 2020 season and assisted with varsity during the 2020-2021 seasons..
Lisa recently earned her PHD. from the University of Notre Dame.
Coach Jospeh Pullard
Coach Joseph Pullard, is the Assistatnt Coach of Bouce Black. Coach Pullard joins LAVBC for his second season. Joseph joined us in 2023-2024 from New Roads school where he coaches and teaches.
Coach Pullard comes from a family of professional athletes (father NBA/brother NFL) and brings his experience of high level expectations and training into working with LAVBC athletes.
